Roots of Empathy is a school-based program that teaches children social skills and fosters empathy through interaction with a baby.
The program consists of guided observation of an infant's development (weight, growth, and milestones such as first smile, roll over, sit up) and emotions (fussy, happy, tired) by elementary school children.
The program consists of a classroom visit from a baby and parent once every 3 weeks. Babies are between 2 - 4 months old at the beginning of the program.
If you have a baby that you'd be willing to share with us or know of one, please could you email Mrs. Hibberd ([email protected]) - she'd LOVE to be able to bring this program to her class this year.
